Jim Anderson Campaign for St. Pete Beach City Commissioner District 3

Who is Jim Anderson?
  • Retired Firefighter

  • Jim and his wife, Brooke are Belle Vista homeowners

  • Former Pension Board Trustee Managing over $1B County Pension Fund, Arlington, Va.

  • Concerned and involved resident - Spent the past two years working to assure the right of the people of St Pete Beach to vote on building height and our comprehensive plan. He has helped stop overdevelopment, and concrete canyons.

  • Jim understands teamwork and is already knowledgeable about the comprehensive and development plans. Heís exactly what our city needs to move forward!

  • Actively participates in the Support Our Troops program at City Hall.

My Commitment to You

  • The St Pete Beach Commission needs to listen more closely to what its residents want St Pete Beach to become. The residents pay over 84% of the Property Taxes.

  • I will see that code enforcement becomes a top priority. The City needs to get many areas cleaned up.

  • The Cityís Infrastructure such as water, sewer, and under-grounding of power needs to be addressed. I have successfully lobbied at the County, State, and Federal levels and will leverage this experience to explore State and Federal funding for these projects for St Pete Beach.

Our Comprehensive Plan - Development of our Future

No Tall Buildings

  • I support the current Comprehensive Plan limits of 50 feet over flood for large hotels and ALL CONDOS.

  • I will work with developers to get the development we want where we want it.

  • We need an infrastructure baseline study to fairly increase impact fees that will pay for the increased stress development puts on our systems and services, instead of having the residents pay.

  • I want to move forward with responsible controlled growth that benefits every resident and provides for a strong thriving economy.
